Metallurgical Grade Silicon Carbide in powder form is used as a source of Silicon and Carbon in the foundry iron like grey, ductile or malleable to reduce FeO and MnO in the slag. It is an excellent alternative for 70% Ferro Silicon in the melt furnace.
